Deep House is another music that was created within ( USA) that is some where between Garage and Soulful House music. A style of House music that many will call laidback and groovelicious, rather than happy sounding vocal music of New York's/New Jersey's version House music.

Deep House music spiritual home is Chicago, Usa, It is best identified by its production, which relies on the deep rolling basslines and the use of Jazz/Fusion and Soul music samples which are never far away.

Over the years this format has changed as well. The inclusion of Techno music entering into the fray gives Deep House a new harder edge. Some say true Deep House is best listened to rather than dancing to...... You may disagree or not. That's up to you!

Larry Heard, together with a group called Fingers Inc are often regarded as the godfather/s of this style of music.

Another person that can take credit for the creation of this music is Marshall Jefferson To be fair to them both. Both Larry and Marshall are both the 2 x true creators behind the Deep House sound.

These DJ's/acts/producers have inspired a world wide movement which now sees DJs from nations such as France,Germany, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Scotland and Switzerland noting their aspirations to Larry Heard especially to St Germain, Shazz, Jazzonova, Ron Trent, Dj Deep, Derrick Carter and Wayne Gardiner even established and highly repsected DJ's within the Usa note his contribution such as Deep Dish, Roger Sanchez, etc

The music often said to be finished always seems to come back, time and time again! Its because of those wicked, deep basslines, and melodic, yet atmospheric jazz chords that you always find with this style of music. This music hasn't passed its sell by date yet! Well that's my theory onto the beginnings of Deep House Music. Any help to you.
