Last year, relative newcommers to the Garage House scene made their presence felt with the release of the single called "Deliver Me". Many have stated to this day, that this tune was the THE TUNE of 1995 within the Garge world

So it is with great pleasure, that I allow you to read on......!

Earliest musical influences?

1. Was through being brought up in a musical family

Marc...Yes. Brian.... no.

2. Was it through having or being forced to learn a musical instrument?

Marc no. Brian no.

3. Was it through listening to your mother and fathers records, or disscussions as to who they liked?

Marc no. Brian no

Who was your musical idol as a child?

1. Was it James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Stanley Clarke

2. The Commodores, Earth,Wind and Fire, Fleetwood Mac, etc

3. Or was it a particualar Sound of soul music

How did you get into the world of Djing?

Brian, at 14, bought turntables to play Led Zepp, with the turn-tables came an old box of disco records which I quickly fell in love with..

Was it through taking part in a school party?
Djing at relatives party occasion?
Or at a local youth club in your area?

Brian....I Started playing at school funtions & around the way parties. I eventually landed a gig in a teen club which was my first real job.

Where..

Key Largo, in NJ.

After this starting point where did you take your next line of advancement in the world of djing?

Just moved around the local circut, moving from one lame club to another.

How did the partnership of Urban Blues come about?

Since '91 we were involved in each others individual projects and always wanted to collaborate on a single but never found the time until "Deliver Me" in '95.

Did the success of "Deliver Me" surprise you?

Yes, and we decided to continue working together as well as start of the label called, "Soulfuric Recordings"

Do you like the playing of Deep HOUSE ( Jazz fusion/ style of House, but with mellow, melodic over tones ) instrumentals.

We like it if it's good....

Do you prefer the playing of Instrumental tracks of House music better than vocal style of House music flavoured by groups from the New Jersey such as Blaze, SMACK, David Camacho, etc...

It's not one or the other, but the correct mixture of both.

What do you think of the scene within Europe concening Soulful House music? Is it encouraging, or have we still a lot to learn from the Americans?

We think the scene is very healthy. Healthier than anything we've seen in the states anywhere. We think that maybe the Americans might have something to learn from Europe...

Is there any clubs or djs that you like within Europe?

Clubs: Garage City, Ministry, Aquabooty, Bump and Hustle, Loft, and some others.

DJs: CJ Mackintosh, Paul Trouble Anderson, Bobby & Steve, Ricky Morrison, Booker T, Grant Nelson, Joey Musaphia, Shemas, Alan Russell. I'm sure there's many more clubs and DJs that we haven't heard or seen that we might like. Looking forward to discovering them.

What is the scene like in America. Is House music becomming more acceptable, that within the past saw the music being over washed by the countries fascination with Hip hop, Swing and Rock music?

At the moment, things are starting to turn around, the future is looking bright!

Who do rate within the vein of this music? Masters of Work, Tony Humpheries, Blaze, 95 North, Frankie Knuckles, Victor Simmonelli, Norman JAY, etc

All of the above!.

Who do rate as one's for the future? Who should we keep an eye on ? Europe or the USA - dj or house music diva?

(this is a biased answer) Watch for Pearlie May, Michael Procter, DJ John Julius Knight.

When are you considering playing Europe? Or are going to do so?
