Our major project to mark our 50th
anniversary is an extension and refitting of
the existing Kitchen, a new lobby entrance into the Sports Hall and the
building of a new Store Room.
Our Church is thriving and successful, serving both its
congregation and the surrounding community; many groups of all ages use the
premises every day of the week. To continue to be successful, we have to regularly look at our premises
and ask ourselves how they could be improved to the benefit of all.
Our Kitchen falls short of current health and safety standards
in ventilation, poor access to the sink area, boiling water for safe provision
of beverages and stainless steel food preparation areas. Storage is always an
issue as each church group and user requires space for equipment.
The total project cost is estimated to be around £60,000. A Fund
Raising Group has been formed. Grants will meet a large part of this but we need to raise £13,000 over the period spanning our Gift Days
for 2006/7.
