| Invoicing System Screenshot of a bill preparation system for a river cruise restauarant. Ordered items that are to be added to a customers bill are selected from a fixed range of menu items (food and drink). Other items of merchandise can also be added to the invoice prior to billing as can deductions of any deposits made. Prior to introduction of this system, invoices were prepared by hand which proved both time consuming and error prone. Data from each bill is stored for each cruise and then combined for weekly and monthly totals, allowing easy viewing of main business indicators as well as aiding in the preparation of profit and loss account and balance sheet. |
